Pros and cons of CoachMyRide app for iPhone and iPad

CoachMyRide app good for

Due to an accident I had to stop riding on road and I am using a home trainer now. I tried several apps but this one is the best one from far. Workouts are very nice designed. With this app, I am going to be ready and in a better shape after my recovery.
Great app for coaching guidance if you dont have a cycling coach.

Some bad moments

Awesome app, great explanation of every work out. Its its truly your personal coach.
I was hoping for an app to use in the gym when I cant take the usual coached spin sessions. hopefully something that would "cue" you during a timed ride of when to change cadence, increase tension/intensity etc. In that respect, it is disappointing, but there is some great training info in this app that is worth the expense. very pro. guess I can make my own cues :/
Started biking one year ago, used this for about 4 months as a tool to get in shape, was able to finish the Tour Of The Battenkill in Up State NY in April. That tells it all
Great app, lots of detailled drills and protocols to bring you back up to speed. I cannot wait yor the next app, eith feedback and data loggin!
I had been winging it for two years trying to compete in some local USAC mtn bike races with no results from just riding more and harder. I had some physiology testing done and the results showed a very low fat utilization threshold of 111bpm and poor power production. I bought this app and from May til October, I trained the 6 Hr zones and followed the plan laid out and won my first road race. I was re-tested yesterday and I am now producing 280watts at my HR threshold but also my fat utilization threshold is now up to 164bpm (ive lost 29lbs also-thank you Livestrong APP also.) Now I can start working on more threshold training because my base is solid. My fitness and goals are something I prayed about and owe it to God but this APP was the tool used! Well done!
If all you want is info on how to create a cycling workout plan, then this is the app for you. Most of the info you can get from web pages and other resources. The app really lacks in functionality, such as imputing your info, ride, etc and having it calculate your progress and give you the next workout tailored to you. I would get a refund if I could..
